is this routing valid?
Hi, I currently have a booked flight (100K) listed as YYZ:NRT:AKL and SYD:YYZ
One helpful person pointed out that YYZ:NRT:AKL is not valid but since I have the ticket I am ok anyway.
Here is my question, since my return is currently economy and it looks like the odds of getting moved up are non existent I want to call and ask for the following routing in business which is currently available on my travel dates.
SYD:BEIJING:YYZ or SYD:SHANGHAI:YYZ (sorry I do not have codes memorised).
Apart from the possible problem that the change may cause the catch on the outbound invalid routing does anyone know the following
1) Are either of the 2 return routings valid? Or would they be for an upgrade from 100K miles to a higher amount? If so, any idea how many more?
2) Since we have to stay overnight in either Beijing or Shanghai, which one offers the best chance to do a short little tour of the city between flights? Or are both ariports so far from civilization that you have to stay at the airport lounge or a hotel at the airport between flights.
Thanks for any input
