I flew AA1514 LAS - ORD (10:15 - 3:40) yesterday in X (upgrade processed overnight before flight) sitting in 6E&F. When the meal was offered, we found that only 4 steak sandwiches had been put on board so we were left with a choice of Chicken Gumbo (spicy) and Curry Shrimp pocket (also spicy). I don't understand how AA can load a flight with 14 F passengers with only 4 of the entree that 80% of passengers would likely choose. The FA agreed that SHE wouldn't eat the curry dish. After declining the main dish, I was presented with a salad covered in crumbled cheese (which I hate).

I have never understood why AA insists on serving everything covered with cheese. Considering that very few cheese lovers would forego a meal that did not have cheese while non-cheese eaters have a hard or impossible time removing the cheese from many of these dishes.

I'd love to understand the steak sandwich situation. Doesn't make any sense.
