Dear CharlesMD,

I did read your trip report. You do have more readers than repliers.

On SQ I love the freshly made breakfasts. Also the attention to detail on food as I am allergic to shellfish. Not the kind of thing you want to get into over the Pacific.

On BA I appreciate the quality of the service. They know how to properly serve the food. On one BA biz class flight when it seemed shellfish was in everything, the FA assembled a cheese, fruit, veg and sweets tray for me that was lovely. I had not ordered a special meal as I have mixed luck doing that.

Obviously the last thing I want to see on a salad is lobster! One of the regular contributors on FT posted that he had his first bad shellfish reaction on an AA flight over the Atlantic. The lobster!

I don't fly to eat, but on long flights I want nice meals that are easy on salt. I appreciate the SQ 'in case you get hungry' beautifully packaged snack and comfort kits. The packages are so beautiful, I save them. They are up there with Japanese railroad station packed meals for beauty and artistry.

Travel well!
