Airports have different configurations. Some like this one, may have your outside for more time than is ideal in bad weather. Still, I don't see why an airline needs to make sure you have a roof over your head at all times. They should be focused on providing safe air transportation, not making sure you are comfortable in inclement weather.
Just an opinion obviously, but this thread should be merged with the "Least Substantive UA-related thing you complain about" or whatever it's called
