Unless you're in some small outstation there is NO....repeat NO reason why UA should expect passengers to walk outside in the rain/snow etc etc to get to and from the aircraft......especially at a major hub like ORD.

I've been through the F and C gates (don't say it too fast )connecting to/from Asia and have been drenched/frozen/slipped on ice more than once. I guess I should have sent UA a bill for ruining my clothes/shoes right especially when they're covered in De-Icing Glycol in the winter ? Oh wait it's not UA's fault that the won't pay for gate space....It's mine for taking a flight on a rainy/snowy day
