Besides the fact that I may not know the advanced weather forecast for a city I won't arrive in for 12 hours, if I'm flying a major carrier into one of their top hubs, with hundreds of flights daily and their own terminal, I would expect that in the year 2010 they have heard of jetways, and not be herded across a tarmac like it is a third-world landing strip.
