PB stay
I stayed here this week on a Pointsbreak stay.
I wasn't sure if I'd like the hotel, so booked single consecutive nights in case it didn't work out.
The room looked nice enough. However, something was seriously wrong with the bed. It felt like wooden slats were just beneath the mattress pad. Don't expect much in the way of English at the hotel. If you go up to the manager level, you may be able to fully communicate. Not much below that.
After waiting for 10 minutes they came to put another mattress topper on the bed. And when doing so, you could clearly see that they had a two sheets of plywood on top of the mattress. Uh, duhhhh. So, they took it off. The bed was a bit better, but I still found it uncomfortable to sleep on.
The room was also pretty hot. It finally cooled down enough to sleep at about 2am.
You could see the ocean from the room, which was nice enough. A small bowl of fruit was provided for the Platinum RA.
There is a shopping and restaurants on the opposite side of the street. I walked through the underpass. At night there are vendors selling items.
There is a McDonald's in one building, a KFC in another, along with small restaurants.
I decided to move on after one day, as I just didn't find the room that comfortable. If you have to be in the area, I guess it's okay. I'm staying at a $30 a night non-chain hotel, and find it to be better, comfort-wise.
