I"ve never had it happen at a hilton property, but have been evacuated at two other hotels. Once was the bourban orleans around 5 a.m. Apparently someone was using a toaster oven (why someone would bring a toaster oven to a hotel is beyond me) and was making cookies (probably out drinking since NOLA bars are 24/7) and burned something while they were in the shower and it set off a smoke alarm. I found out what happened after I returned to the hotel but I guess when the alarm went off it set off the hotel alarm and we all had to evacuate. They told us it would be a while so I just went to cafe dumonde for coffee and begneits. When I returned a few guests were complaining they wanted to get more sleep and were given a 2 p.m. checkout so I requested the same and got it with no problem even though I have no status at Wyndham.

Other time was the coutyard in Toronto and I was on an upper floor and someone thought it was cute on near years eve to pull the fire alarm and I was upset that time because I had a lot of stairs to walk down (and there were so many people waiting in line for the eleavator I walked up all the stairs to get back to my room instead of waiting) and there were no 24/7 places open since it was new years. I stay at that hotel a few times a year and was offered no compensation but I didn't ask for any either.

I would just send an email to hilton or the GM and you might get some points out of it.
