On a similar note, I have a companion ticket voucher expiring on July 30th.

I know I will be flying to the UK sometime before the end of the year for work but I don't know the exact dates yet. Would it be possible to book a flight for, say November, and just change the dates once I know when I will be flying? Are there any issues with changing the date on a companion ticket after the voucher has expired?
