Restaurant Tax added to bill?

I just checked out of the Courtyard in Roseville, CA and I see a daily charge of $1.65 labeled Restaurant Tax on my bill. I booked a corp rate that did not mention anything about breakfast, but was given certs at check in for breakfast each day. I don't ever recall seeing this "tax" in the past. This is my first stay here, but I have stayed at the Fairfield Inn next door and they don't asses this fee. The breakfast is not that different, although it is presented much nicer at the CY.

I really get annoyed by all the undisclosed fees to lowball the base rate. I understand the business reasons for wanting to breakout the ancillary charges to entice customers, but it's really the "out the door" price that counts in the end. Now when they start the elevator usage fee I'll be checking out Winnebego rates!
