As with most things in life, if we dissect everything into individual components, the magic will be gone. We fly F not because of the wash bag or the PJ or the champagne, but for the entire experience!
.
For example, there is nothing special about champagne on BA F. Some of us may have better bottles at home. But there is something about being offered a glass while you are several thousand feet up in the air heading to an exciting destination with people you love/like.
I still remember the first time I flew BA F (seat 1A) and the purser mentioned something to the effect that I would have rather been outside than in a metal tube on such a fine day. If only she knew it was my first First!
"Would Sir like another glass of champagne?"
"Could I possibly tempt you with a glass of Sauternes to accompany your pudding, Mr. SkinsFan0521?"
How could you put a price on that?!
