I hope you are not saying that somehow Aeroplan will tell me the reservation they already gave me will not be honored.

You were very lucky that they let you book YYZ-NRT-AKL. There is no such published routing and it has exceeded the MPM.
Having said that, my wife successfully booked and flew YYZ-SYD(Stop)-RAR(turnaround)-AKL-KIX(Stop)-NRT(Stop)-YYZ. 3 stopovers and illegal routing!!
Yes, you can do it if the agent is not knowledgeable enough and let you book it. But YMMV.
