I just booked a one way flight LAX-ABE only because it was half the price of the LAX-EWR flight and I could actually get picked up at ABE just as easily as at EWR. But being a 'bus' ride I guess I could also just skip the bus segment since I assume I'll have to get my luggage to take it to the bus myself? On the other hand if I get 500 EQMs for the bus ride maybe it is worth the 4 hour later arrival time and I could kill the layover time at the club drinking myself silly.
Can anyone that has actually done one of these 'bus' segments fill me in on how they really work?
Here's how it works. You check in for your flight at the CO counter, and they tag your bags. Then you go through security. Next you walk, with all your luggage, back through security all of about 50 feet to the departures drop-off curb to wait for the bus. When the bus comes, the driver loads all of the checked luggage in the back of the bus, and at EWR, you get off the bus and end up in Terminal C, while your checked bags get unloaded and checked through to your final destination.
