No disrespect gardener, but 40K points after 25 nights in 3 months sounds rather lame. 40k is only 2 nights at a cat. 4 hotel. Where as other chains are offering 1 free night only after 2 or max. 3 stays. JMO
True enough, but:
1) the points last forever and the free nights expire
2) I like Marriott
3) I have just achieved LT gold (800 nites) and am working on LT platinum. I am not aware of other chains even offering LT status and since I am retiring next month LT status will be very worthwhile to me as my stay pattern goes from 80 nites a year to maybe 30.
