I'm not sure what happens in this case. Technically you aren't allowed access, though if you ask nicely the lounge dragon may let you in.

As far as the points go, with the new system they are only awarded once you reach your final destination. For example I took a 2 month stop over in Dubai, and haven't been given any points for that yet. I'll get them when I complete my outbound journey.
