With all of the fairly negative reviews of SPG hotels in London post Belgravia leaving, I'm seriously contemplating leaving SPG for another brand--at least temporarily--for my upcoming London stay. I'm a very loyal *wood customer, and usually will even stay at hotels that are quite substandard compared to others in the area, but due to the special occasion nature of my upcoming stay, I just can't do it this time...

Therefore, I wanted to find out from any of you on specific recommendations. The other chain that I would like to get points and/or status with would be Hyatt. Both of their hotels, the Andaz Liverpool and Hyatt Regency Churchill are in the same rough price category as the 3 SPG hotels (Park Lane, Tower and Picadilly). Is the Andaz and/or Churchill better, worse or the same as compared to SPG's 3, or should I just stay with the SPG hotels. Assume that I can get a diamond status match. I'm not looking for a general review of these 2 hotels, but specific comparison to my *wood options, hence why I am posting here. Everything is relative. A 4points in no-where-ville can be as nice (or better) than a St. Regis, if your other option is camping in 30 degree thunderstorm.
