Yes, this is a strange happening ... Ticket Price being cheaper on Orbitz than on Delta.com
I have used this - many a time - and the tickets have always been issued, if one has clicked all the way through to the end.
Orbitz seems to hold inventory of Delta tickets (and probably other airline tickets).
Now this does not happen with cheaper KLM tickets on Orbitz ... as an error message comes up immediately when one tries to book and click through.
