The Fruit & Water Baskets are hit and miss, but a plus when you stay there.
I normally pick the Free Internet and stroll up to Citywalk for breakfast.
The free shuttle service helps if it's running early and at times even stops at the bottom of the hill when they are refueling the Universal Studios trams.
Having said that, this hotel is due for a renovation of the rooms they are getting very old.
Still a great place to stay if you are doing Universal and the Red Line is close by, but most of the times I just stay at LAX Hilton for the ease of stored bags and shuttle to the airport, plus the flyaway service to/from Union.
It will cost you about $80US in a taxi from LAX to the Hilton Universal Studios
Added: If you are looking on Google Earth, there is a Big Step Hill between the Red Line and the Hilton, easy to walk down, not up!
The Red Line takes about 9mins from Universal to Hollywood & Highland, so it's not close by to tourist atrractions.
I recommend the front of line pass for Universal, after 2pm it's cheaper, last time I bought one was $75US, no queues, next ride and you can ask for position, like front car etc.
Do the
Griffith Observatory 25c cost from a red line stop and great views of LA.
