I'll speak to ANZ when I check in to see if there is any BC availability - good idea.

I've already put this flight on my Airpoints scheme.

So, I guess the million dollar question is, should I sign up to the Koru Club? It's not cheap at about £350 from what I can see, and I'm unlikely to use it more than twice a year, but from what I understand I get:

Access to lounge
Priority baggage
Priority/business check-in

I'm pretty much only likely to fly ANZ between LHR and LAX. Given that I'm OK spending that sort of money, can I just ask:

1. Will I be guaranteed access to Koru Club lounge with my Koru membership, or would I still have to pay $55 on the door and/or hope it's not full?
2. As I travel with my wife (not a frequent flyer), will she be able to use the same check-in facilities as me and also have priority baggage?
3. Will my wife have the same access to Koru lounges as me or will I need to buy her a guest pass?

I have read numerous threads on here about guest access, etc, but it seems a little confusing to me. Sorry about that!

1. yes you will be guaranteed to a lounge when you travel on air nz service. you wont need to pay anything extra.

2.yes your travelling companions are able to use the same check-in facilities and priority baggage tag (koru club tag)

3. you will receive 10 guest passes to use - check t&c

by the way you should just buy full fare business class fare as higher fare passengers can take over anyones' seats including gold elites request seats that will save you so much hassle and im sure air nz will do their best to accommodate your high fare tickets
