Last Friday, I was on DCA-ATL which was delayed at least an hour. Anyhow, when checking my flight for ATL-SNA, I was still #3 of 10. For some reason, my iPhone said that I had to rebook my flight for ATL-SNA since there was the possibility of missing it... I'm still confused as to what happened because I was originally booked and checked in for the last flight out that night. At any rate, I didn't want to miss the flight thinking the computer had taken me off the flight already so I just clicked the rebook button. That made my upgrade list status go down from #3 to #4 of 10 (no one new entered the list).

At this point, I was thinking agh since there were 2 seats available in F and so there could have been a possibility as #3 but not as #4. I tried to explain this to the gate agent but he didn't really understand and told me to go talk to the check-in counter at Concourse E (I was at E6). I go there and the guy understood my problem and tried to help me out to no avail.

At any rate, I boarded the flight and before they closed the door, the GA I talked to earlier came in and asked 3 people (presumably from the UG list) to come up to F. I was not too happy and my only consolation was that one of them was in the aisle seat in my row and so the person in the middle seat went over to the aisle seat and so I had some space.

At any rate, I emailed DL about it just to explain what happened so that maybe these types of situations won't be as confusing. I haven't received a response as of yet.

I know that I probably shouldn't have rebooked either but at this point I just wanted to make sure I was on that flight since I had a wedding on Saturday to go to...
