What seems most frustrating to me is sitting there, watching boarding, and knowing full well there's space available in the bins and watching them gate check all the lower zones without even letting them check the bin.

In the experience I've had with them it seems like a big United fail. Where other airlines seem to have FAs that are good about rearranging, maximizing space, keeping all the bins open so pax can see their full...UA sends the last zone to board (or the tight to almost misconnects) into complete meltdown.

Is it lack of/improper training?
A pervasive attitude of FA laziness?
Or is it just something that's always been that way, and that's how they're doing it?
How would it be laziness to preemptively close the bins? It takes more effort to close a bin than to not.

In any event, I have never experienced this on UA.
