At baggage claim, the cable tie was gone. Apparently, TSA was "helpful" and locked my bag for me with TSA "supplied" and approved lock. Now what?
I don't have the key and it's not my lock. I guess I'll have to break it off somehow.

I actually think it was TSOs being jerks. You should file a complaint to TSA at that airport. Specifically, you should write or email the DAFSD-S, AFSD-S and FSD.
