docta, doesn't cause me a cent, 90% of my flights have no check in luggage, other times being Gold and flying Club takes care of the rest.

Speedbird, maybe it had more to do with removing the bounties (cash bonuses) that check-in agents made/were paid for collecting overweight charges once upon a time Regarding BA being the first, let's not change history here, BA came up with a 32kg ban and made up at least three specific and outright lies which certain BA syncopaths parroted on these very fora (BTW, I didn;t mention anything about a 32kg limit being inappropriate, although many carriers will go beyond that limit for extra money). Considering that the vast majority of countries have no such H&S concerns on this matter, and many have more restrictive bodies, assures me and others that one industry has been on a tear these recent years, namely the H&S industry (as its obviously convinced many here including yourself that these are regulations rather than reccomendations!)
