I was flying home from LAS on Sunday (LAS-YYC) and they were asking for volunteers because of weight restrictions. They were offering 800 cash (not even a flight voucher...they are mailing a cheque within 2 weeks). Is this usual? I had to be home the next day so I took the red-eye to YYZ and then home (with upgrades clearing all the way and lots of extra miles). My best bump ever!
