I am a Plat flying with a non elite.

As far as upgrades are concerned, I was told that I would not be upgraded because she is on the same reservation as me.

However, if I take her off, I can still list her as a companion, and there is a chance she will still be upgraded. I just want to confirm this. If there is no chance of her being upgraded either which way, then I would leave her on.

Also, between us, we are flying with three bags. If I take her off my reservation, will her bag still be free?

The flight is pretty full. It is the JFK-LAX 7am flight tomorrow morning.
