I flew KM between TLV and MLA years back. They always have charters to Israel during the Christian holidays so you can get a good price on a flight to MLA. I never understood why LY wasn't interested in developing more of these regional holiday destinations with smaller aircraft (yes, smaller than a Boeing 737).
