Interesting to me that you chose AF/KL from Vienna, did you especially want ST carriers or just maybe lower fares than OS? Have been on AF last year but I think I believe you, KL is better, I'd like to try them but now am more stuck to *A system so not sure when I can do that.
Also glad you liked Southwest; and remember, 2 of those 3 delays were due to weather beyond their control, they are normally most reliable and punctual of anybody here! Cheers, Mike

AF/KL had best fare from all I found. Then Austrian doesn't serve now Chicago with direct flight so there would be change-plane also - with Lufthansa maybe.
Finally I wanted to try AF-KLM and after flight I became flyingblue member and claimed my miles back.
With delays on Southwest.. I know it was weather problem and they done everythink they can so I don't say it is their problem
