But, as an elite member, you still earn much less miles than other FFPs.
So, in fact, that distance-base burning chart is much more expensive than it looks. Like in Aeroplan, miles expiry in seven years regardless of elite status is another big minus for some.

But OZ offers many other advantages. Also for certain redemption things are great: One way is just 50%, you can have many stopovers (BKK-LHR-ZRH-CDG-BKK for example) and at the fringes of the distance chart things can be quite good compared to zone based FFP.
