CHC immigration was interesting on Sunday night, I didn't receive an express card as they were not loaded on the aircraft. However, when we arrived, I walked off the aircraft and saw a member of the ground staff running down the air bridge with them in her hand. I didn't stop her to grab one. Anyway, arrived at immigration, the NZ-Aus passport line had at least 200 people standing in it with 3 officers processing. All passport line with 2 officers along with the express officer when available..... less than 10!!! No prize for guessing what line I joined. I actually was through before those that received express cards. Of course in this situation I guess I was just lucky. I could have arrived and both lines may have been full and without my express card would have been waiting a while. I just don't understand why people continued to join the NZ-AUS line when clearly the All-Passports line was by far the shortest.
