HNL RCC is nice, good views of the tarmac.

Flight times can differ EB and WB quite a bit due to the wind, as long as 9 hours HNL-NRT and as little as 6 hours NRT-HNL.

Arrival in to HNL is at the domestic terminal, from the jetway you will be directed upstairs and out to airside busses to customs. Once there the US citizen lines are usually pretty short. Watch for the connecting baggage room if continuing on.
