Like OP found airports in europe and asia to be too warm for comfort, I've found the US airports (and even offices) to be a little too cold for comfort. I always wore an extra shirt while at a US airport in summer.

Another difference i've noticed is that in US, people have water with a lot of ice. you wouldn't notice that in Asia and i believe in most parts of Europe.

IMHO, if we are all alike, travel would become a little boring.
