How long ago if your remember?

I was on a Delta 777 pilot's retirement flight in Jan 2002. I was flying from MCO - ATL. All I remember, since I was 10, was the FO making a statement over the PA as well as the Captain's wife. Also the fire trucks did the water gun salute, which a 10 year-old finds really cool.
