Just got around to blogging about my stay at Le Meridien Barbarons (full report with pictures and video here)

Overall-
We had a nice stay. Got upgraded to a deluxe sea view room in the SPG portion of the resort, which was spacious and nicely appointed. Had a suite upgrade failure, which SPG customer service addressed after my stay. I didn't have the heart to duke it out there since the deluxe room was nice, but the manager of the hotel did follow up and apologize to me directly for the error.

The property is nice, but service-wise isn't all there. We had issues with missed wake up calls, no platinum amenity offered, mass group check-in and multiple ice requests that were forgotten. That being said, the room was clean and nice, the pool area was impeccable and the resort is on a gorgeous isolated beach.
