I'm kind of tired of the argument "the rest of the world does it this way so deal with it". Not to say B Watson's post is without merit.

However, this is the US, and we do not pay $5 per gallon of gas because we are not Europe.

Who cares what the EU or Asia or South Africa charges or does?
