Is there not a way to change the meal service in WT and WT+ so that the lights can be off within 20 minutes of wheels up on these 6 hour transatlantic flights? The meal doesn't have to be provided in a lounge, and it doesn't necessarily need to be a hot meal - perhaps some sandwiches, a drink, some chips, and some snacks left in the galley? Or a bagged meal that you can pick up at the jetbridge prior to boarding? Or a voucher for a meal on the ground? Or no bar service prior to meal service?

The same goes for landing - a brown bag with a muffin and a yoghurt can be distributed to 200 passengers in 15 minutes; do it 45 minutes before landing, instead of (sometimes) 2 hours.

I know a lot of people look forward to their hot meals, but what makes me happiest on those short overnight flights is getting more than 4 hours of sleep on a flight that's rarely over 6 hours....

Anyone else agree?
If at all such a service is offered, it would have to be optional, which would complicate things. Only offering a cold meal on a 6 hr flight even in WT would be seen as a major cut back and pax would shift to other airlines.

Also, most people can't get proper sleep in a WT seat, and since we're talking 7 hr flights, it isn't even a full night's sleep.

One important thing to consider is there would be a much higher percentage of O&D pax in premium cabins, compared to WT. These pax may be connecting elsewhere etc so one can't assume they'll want to be on one time zone or another.
