20kg = 44lbs, which is under the 50kg limit, obviously. So most luggage is within the 50-70lb range? It wasn't when I worked at the airport for American, the vast majority was in the 10-20kg range, or 22-44lbs. I know that, because each bag was weighed and the weight was marked on each ticket.

Well, typically, most 'good' suitcases weigh between 7-15lbs, if not more. For me, my samsonite weighs 13lbs and I stuff it with 40-50lbs of stuff for 15-20 days. Thankfully, my origin/dest is YYZ when I'm lugging this around, so hopefully I'll be okay
