I agree that there is the issue of hotel availability and cost @ ATL, but on the other hand maybe when you got to ATL your flight to Huntsville might also have been delayed or you might have had the option of flying to BHM or Chattanooga, and driving if you were anxious to get home.

If it really was weather, and this is the season for T-storms, DL really doesn't owe you anything, but may give you something as a matter of good faith.

I would add that the MCI DL people are fantastic, and I would assume that they did everything they could.
