Is there any real advantage to online check-in other than seat assignment? I have never used it in the past and fairly regularly fly from the west coast of the US to the Middle East. I am flying from LAX to JED (F and J) in October and have my seat selections already, as well as the requisite couple of hours in the cabana to shower and watch a bit of television. What, if any, are the benefits of online check-in other than selecting a seat? I really don't care to print a boarding pass, which I guess could possibly be a benefit.
