AFAIK, Verizon (FIOS) and DSL is now a possibility in Andover --- though, perhaps, not the entire town of Andover. (I spend quite a bit of time in Andover, though not as much, of recent).
I live in a rural subdivision which is too far from the central office for DSL, and FIOS (which is actually branded as FAST by Fairpoint; which purchased the network from Verizon) will probably never be available since we have buried cable in our rural subdivision; and I can't imagine they would drop fiber cable underground for probably 2-3 subscribers. If we lived closer to 111A or 111, and had overhead wires (instead of buried cable), I would be in better shape... but, then I wouldn't live on a quiet rural road with little to no traffic. Tradeoffs, I guess.
