If a FAM is traveling solo, they are probably flying to attend a conference, or training, etc. In that case, they purchase a ticket in cattle class. If they had status they could upgrade to First.
I doubt many FAMs have status; they don't collect miles for their duty flights and I doubt most like to travel a whole lot for fun with so much travel for work. I'm sure there are a handful of FAMs that are an exception, though.
