Sadly, the best option is gone - Singapore Airlines' nonstop Executive Economy service from New York to Singapore. 18 hours, wide seats (2-3-2 on an A340) with big armrests and spacious legroom (37") throughout the plane, open snack and drink bar in the lounge area.

High fuel prices killed that one off. You used to be able to get it for about the same price as regular economy, with a little finagling.

Sorry, not much help for you, but as someone who has to do Southeast Asia -> USA more than he would like, its cancellation left a tragic hole that I can't seem to stop whining about.
