I must say, I did not really begin to appreciate brats until my first summer vacation to Wisconsin (in '98?) and was boggled by the sheer prevalence and number of brands to choose from. I never much pay attention to them here, where the typical Safeway has a small sliver of their meat case devoted to maybe two brands -- usually Safeway Select and Johnsonville. I might also add that brats have never tasted better than when cooked over a lakeside campfire on a beautiful, moonlit WI night. But I'll take 'em @ MKE Concourse D just the same.
