AB will only match FTLs & SENs of Miles and More.
As a Senator of Miles and More I got the following mail in response for my status match request:

Even though you may not be able to qualify for the Gold- or Silver Status within 4 months, we would be delighted to continue welcoming you on board as our topbonus member.
Therefore, I also believe that a LH FTL will receive Silver status for 4 months and has to collect 6500 miles or 8 segments in order to renew it.
Note that after you receive this email you have to reply and tell them you want to get the status match under these terms, otherwise they won't give it to you!
