"They're only kids" is no excuse for acting like little monsters when out in public, whether running and screaming at the grocery store or kicking the seat on a plane. I think it takes more than one 'accidental' kick of the seat to set someone off. We all live by certain standards of behavior and expect it from others. Some parents either are too oblivious to notice their little angels acting up or think the little dears have the right to be obnoxious. They will jump in ready to fight when someone tries to correct the exorcism candidate. Unfortunately American society has become too afraid of offending anyone over anything.

By the way, I may have tripped a child or two who was running and screaming in a grocery store. Third time past me is a charm.
