I have had more enjoyable + savory meals on AF, than DL, and certainly over KLM which has been so average. DL does get points for service with a smile, keeping the wine flowing ^, and great IFE. KLM, for so many reasons in my experience, continues to prove just standard, nothing special.

I think AF wins on seating over anything in the DL or KL fleets, with the exception of the DL flat beds. I say this, even considering the middle seat. They also have the nicest cabin decor, IMO.

For food and booze, DL wins. For wine, I actually think KL is the strongest (though none serve anything special). For service, I think DL is friendlier and more personal, which I like, but KL is efficient and professional. I find AF service to be quite erratic and not very personal, even on a good day.

Putting it all together, I would choose AF simply because I care more about the seat than all the other stuff put together.

But, back to the topic at hand, if the OP would post some specifics, I would think that we could help him out. In particular, I am curious if "KLM says no way" means that the OP called KLM to try and book with SkyMiles, in which case, you really need to call DL.
