I have to disagree, Hiddy - I honestly believe there are a great many small changes/improvements which could be made for little or no cost which could have a a HUGE impact on the bottom line. And I also doubt that it will be the middle/senior managers who wield the axe on the big things who will have the day to day, front line knowledge to either know them or implement - it will be the customers and front line staff.

Sadly, I do not share your optimism. While I have never experienced the delights of said sundae (though would now very much like to ), I think there is a greater risk of adopting the IB model and tryung to charge me 4 Euros for a bottle of water after I'd been charged over 700 Euros by BA on a flexible LHR - MAD only to discover I was on IB metal on a codeshare
