I think CONSISTENCY is the key. BA can do what it does so well when the crew are on form and all the technology works. If they could just try to make sure that staff (call centre, customer service etc) have the can do mentality drummed into them, along with simple BA policies (like that they need to REISSUE the eticket when the routing changes), or that drinks runs need to be done before the meal on certain bands, and service should either start from the front or 4 corners etc then I think we'd be on to a winner.

I also want to see aircraft fitted with OnAir, but I don't think thatll be cheap short term (I'm assuming BA pay for this as opposed to OnAir taking the cost and then clawing their profit through revenue).

I'd like to see better mobile services (I know they're in the pipeline), but for instance, the ability to MMB through the iPhone app, and mobile boarding passes etc. Also, maybe better IFE compatibility for flight connections (connecting gate info) where available. An enhanced flight status on ba.com to be like continental's where you can see the routing the plane previously did, so you can see where the a/c actually is.

In terms of actual service, I'd like to see a bit more consistency in terms of things like hand baggage enforcement.

At check in, some agents talk to you by name, others don't -I think it should be standard.

I'd also like a bit more consistency with onboard PAs. The CSD speech can be literally 30 seconds or 5 minutes. I prefer a longer announcement and then silence, as opposed to little droplets of information. The CSD announcement should contain:

-Welcome on board and CSD's name
-SCCM names and positions
-Exec club/OW FF welcome + info about the EC offering xyz and how to join.
-Seatbelts and smoking
-Wellbeing
-Service
-IFE
-Toilets (shorthaul)
-HighLife Shop
-Enjoy flight
