Welcome to Flyertalk.

The insurance provided by any credit card will be primary if you have no other insurance. The problem is that even the best credit card insurance is very inadequate. The card typically covers damage to the rented vehicle. It does not cover damage to someone else's vehicle (or other property) or personal injury (to you, to a passenger, to anyone else).
