Make sure you have an AA boarding pass if you go this route, otherwise you will be up a creek.
There is an AA transfer desk as you get off at the entrance of the terminal, before security and before you go up the escalator, but I have hardly seen anybody there.
It's probably easier to just clear immigration and transport yourself
This route is much faster than taking the bus. If you do not already have the AA boarding pass, the F line is usually very short and they do take you to the head of the immigration line. At least they did for me this past March.
