Can I ask if you were calling local office or THAI in Bangkok? My previous experience is that Thai in BKK have been very accommodating, and have the authority, with this kind of thing. Especially with a mileage upgrade J - F (as opposed to releasing an F award.

have you checked to see if any F award seats are available (THAI online or ANA tool?) Can do if you PM yr dates....
